This news is sensationalised by short-sighted individuals. Every new technology inevitably faces its challenges. When combustion cars were first invented, they had numerous issues, and it wasn't long ago that FORD stood for "Fixed Or Repair Daily." Electric vehicles (EVs) represent the future, and I concur with @Silent-Bubbles that perhaps the wrong electricity phase was utilised in this instance.
