    Refer back to your post - you mention cost per load of spod costs $6m. PER load not for 9 trips. 9 trips at USD$5.5m might be ok depending on fuel price. I don't track VLSFO so who knows. Again, USD$630k is on the side of very conservative (maybe if VLSFO goes $

    FYI the article you referenced mentioned 7,700 TEU of twenty footer container. 7,700 twenty footer container fits about, conservatively, 20t of product per container. 20x7,700 = 154,000t of products that can be loaded onto a ship (excluding container weights).

    If SYA loads 20kt on a 154kt vessel and not filling up the rest, yeah sure SYA managements are incompetent. However, SYA does not own a vessel, so the vessel operator will need to fill up the remaining 134kt with other products from other customers.

    I retract my comments on discounts as those are industry knowledge and not published.

    Doesn't stop the fact that $6m per load for just fuel cost is a ridiculous comment.
