If and when they start producing downstream chemicals, they can simply load the containers with the more concentrated lithium carbonate in lieu of spodumene concentrate.
The number of containers needed to transport these smaller loads of lithium carbonate will be about one twentieth of that required to transport spodumene concentrate.
Being containerised, means no new specialised storage or handling arrangements need be made.
It is likely that the chemicals will be despatched more widely and to more customers.
