Albemarles Silvef peaks project which is the only operating refinery in the USA started in the 1960's and at one stage was the worlds largest supplier. A lot has changed and will continue to do so.
Meanwhile SYA only re started production and ramp up around 16 months ago so we are just in our infancy and at difficult time, in fact its the third re start.
Its interesting to note that our very first shipment was made at around $US 2400/t and was a JV shipment , combined with the $200m CR has kept us in game, if our first shipment was a month or two later we would likely be in C&M , its a fine line between being a Rooster and a feather duster.
