Essentially since the big bang Earths total Mass has not changed or has averaged the same.
It's just a self-adjusting cycle - Climate change.
But that does not imply that burn gasoline for no damn reason or chop down a tree just for fun.
No matter how hard we try ....we are going to change form or state of energy that we use to something undesirable.
Gasoline was a better alternative to coal. coal was a better alternative to wood.
solar maybe a better alternative to gasoline.
End of it, we all gonna turn into dust eventually.
