Dandy - actually Orecobre was as good as bust but got bailed out by Toyota Tsusho, a trading firm associated with the Toyota mothership. I read somewhere that the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry got all the big industrials together and instructed them to get involved in lithium (as they could see even a decade ago what China was intent on doing). It was claimed that Toyota drew the short straw and so got its trading arm to link up with another bunch of Brisbane punters who was trying to develop a salt lake in Argentina. Maybe a decade ago TT bought about 15% of Orecobre and had one of their executives join the board. I think TT still is the largest shareholder in Arcadium, but with less than 10% of the registry.
Unfortunately the ex-Goldman Sachs parasite that runs Arcadium has chosen to have their head office in Kensington Avenue (search youtube) rather than in Brissie Town putting in threat the claim that Brisbane is the Houston of lithium (joking, sort of).
