Maybe i'm wrong but.
By merging, companies can combine their resources and expertise, which can lead to increased efficiency and profitability.
Where is the 6 million dollar man's resources, and what expertise ?
Sorry to be so negative, but to me it's like me considering to merge with the malaria parasite that's trying to kill me.
What does PLL actually bring to the table other than excessive salaries and a few drawings of imaginary future plans ?

If the Spodumene price still hovers around current levels for much longer there will be no PLL to merge with. (IMO)
Please bare with my negativity, and school me in what you see that i am incapable of seeing.
