If the US can’t get their population to buy EVs on a scale to match China, many of these legacy auto makers will end up broke.
The time to have done this, was ten or fifteen years ago.
That is how far they are behind.
It is lucky that Tesla (a non legacy auto maker) came along, otherwise they would be even worse off than they are now.
