As they are only auctioning two lots of 100 tonnes, they are obviously not doing it to boost the bottom line.
They are only allowing selected bidders to participate, (I am thinking these will be top end buyers).
The auction will inform Albemarle as to who it is that wants their lithium carbonate and how much they are willing to pay.
Whether it is good times or bad, it is handy to know these things.
