It happened in the shale O&G revolution (drill baby drill) and I'm speculating it may happen again in Lithium
OK XOM doesn't bother with SYA. Takes out ALB and PLL and Atlantic. Pours capital into TLP, CLP, Megaflex, Ewoyaa and King Mountain to accelerate development and gain advantage in North America IRA lithium.
SYA, and SYQ now have to deal with XOM and not PLL. Maybe XOM likes the idea of finishing off a half constructed carbonate plant and maybe they dont. You think XOM would give up the LoM OTA they acquired via PLL because they are kind and would like to give long suffering retail shareholders a free gift ... not how they got to be the biggest.
It's appealing to me ... across the board ... Didn't say it would be acceptable to everyone.
