SYA atm doesn't even produce any Carnonate ,,, just Lithium units in a SC that you may convert to LCE.
But lets look ahead to when (if?) NAL produces Carbonate from the SC it produces. I'll use the PTS numbers if that's allright with you ...
that will be 75% of 23,610tpy ... so 17,708 tpy of Lithium Carbonate (BG of course)
Now you wrote: "ORE, Livent and GXY were small producers of Li hence they merged."
Well lets see now. When ORE and GXY merged (in 2021) it created the 5th largest Lithium company. Hardly small (IMO)
That's 12,611 tonnes more than SYA at the time of merging with future capacity in development at around 64,000 tonnes more ... not counting any spodumene.
This years (CY2024) expected LCE volumes is between 69 -73 Mt ... of which ~17Mt is SC ... Lithium Carbonate is around 55Mt, not including any SC production.
Livent was spun out of FMC ... if that's your reference to "Livent were using Lithium salt from other brine sources in Argentina". They have their own lithium brines in Argentina.
What sort of bird is SYA?
