"old mate 13 is on ignore"
I have had that poster on ignore for weeks. It is now the 'noise' from all the other posters responding to A...13 that makes this thread almost unreadable.
Imagine the scenario where everyone had A13, and others of his ilk, on ignore. The posts by that user would get no oxygen and would be meaningless. As others have suggested, it may be that posters of their type actually get a financial benefit from the number of responses.
I suggest each one of refuses to play his/her/their game and focus on the meaningful and informative posts.
