Brett Lynch, Guy Laliberte and Sal Vitale visited South Korea on 15/08/2022.


One month later, the chief business officer of POSCO secondary battery materials team visited NAL on 25/09/22 to look for the 2nd partner. POSCO already built a JV company POSCO Pilbara lithium solution a year ago.


6 months later, Brett Lynch, Guy Belleau and Cindy Valence attended 2023 InterBattery Korea and had a meeting with POSCO on 15/03/2023.



The 3rd POSCO Group Lib Materials Business value day presentation clearly showed that POSCO had a plan to acquire Canadian hard rock mines with the map of NAL and Moblan on 12/07/2024.


We have a lot more lithium resources now and produce spodumene ramping up close to name plate capacity. We have further drilling programs such as 30,000m at NAL and 70,000m at Moblan. Who is more attractive than Sayona to have a long term partnership for POSCO. Sayona BOD has been looking for a long term partner who has lithium refining technology. POSCO will be the perfect partner who can help us to improve our half built carbonate refining plant and to build a plant converting lithium carbonate to hydroxide at NAL. This will be a win-win partnership if they can build a JV company, Sayona POSCO lithium solution.
