Given that it costs two to three times as much to construct processing plants in Quebec than in South Korea, it might be a good thing that SYAQ have not yet gone down that path.
Unless the Government of Quebec addresses this issue, a fully developed battery supply chain may not eventuate in that province.
Fortunately for SYA, they have not yet committed to downstream processing but are well located to supply plants in other juridictions that are less expensive, like South Korea, Tennessee and even Ontario.
