Excellent summary as usual Split, NAL has morphed from a very average mine to one with considerable potential and its not some pipedream , it's producing now and can only get better in terms of cost reduction. As always we need better spod prices.

The original DFS was produced with the idea of producing 226,000 tones until 2026, and then producing an average of 185,000 for the LOM. The reason behind this was that we were to be an integrated mine and lithium carbonate refinery all in one.

There was another reason for that as well , at that point the JV contract swung in SYA's favour but any excess spod production beyond that would have been 50/50 for LOM, so no real incentive for SYA to increase spod production beyond refinery requirements.
Its of course why this merger needed to happen, it eliminated the potential road blocks in the way of developing the full potential of NAL which was being revealed by drilling.

The only thing which is not clear is where the original agreement with the Govt around a refiney now stands.

    Cheers Whisky
