I wonder if the trade war between the US and Canada would give cause to make LU7 consider building the lithium carbonate plant in the US?

MergeCo might consider offering ground in North Carolina for them to have the plant in return for equity.

They could have whatever they need from NAL to build the plant.

Then there is the issue of where to get feed from?

I am thinking Trump would only be interested in spodumene concentrate mined from within the US.

MergeCo, will have those resources when the permitting issues are finally sorted, (the new administration might be able to hurry that along).

A fully US based operation may be able to access funds not available to operations outside of the borders.
