Alright, imagine this, Canada suddenly decides to cut off electricity exports to the U.S. eastern seaboard. It’s not super likely, but if it did happen, things could get interesting. The U.S. would need to scramble to fill the gap, probably by ramping up natural gas, nuclear power, and renewable energy like wind and solar. They’ve got options, but it wouldn’t be an overnight fix. Some areas might feel the pinch pretty quickly.

Now for Canada, shutting down those exports would mean losing out on a nice chunk of revenue, especially for provinces like Quebec that depend on selling their surplus hydro power. It could hurt their budgets and might even lead to some political backlash from the U.S., maybe in the form of more trade tariffs and a good spanking!

The thing is, Canada and the U.S. have been energy buddies for a long time, before the Orange face clown came to power, so something this drastic would have big ripple effects for both sides. It’s definitely not the kind of thing either country would jump into lightly. I know. I was invited to a group chat, and they told me everything!
