The very reason we have a producing concentrate mine in Canada is because of the original entrepreneurs remaining on our board but they also have enough common sense to not chase shareholder fantasies by incuring debt to take on something they have no experience in.
Most if not all refineries currently being built will have OTA's already in place and have had for years, we are getting into position to be a supplier to any new refineries coming on stream, preferably in NA...at the moment we only have 113,000tpa of unallocated spod avaliable and thats not a lot, any upcoming refinery would require at least 200,000tpa and that will likely be tied in with expansion of operations at NAL. Scale and LOM is everything when trying to get an OTA with serious players.
Our existing OTA's expire in the next year or two but have options for renewal on them and likely will be or even expanded.
The bottom line is there is a lot more involved than the average poster on HC understands and there will be a lot going on in the background that you won't know about unless it turns into an agreement but getting the merger over the line and getting through this price cycle has priority at the moment...refinery talk means nothing if your in C&M so that's the first issue to avoid and we have bought time to try and do so.
The assumption you imply that the board and management ( new and original) don't understand what's involved and aren't dealing with it is ludicrous ...
