The biggest point about the shorts is that they have been able to cover without returning any value to shareholders who they worked very hard to destroy.
With the help of an incompetent Board they have been able to cover a lot of shares with no threat of having to buy those share back at a higher price. It doesn't provide much hope for the share price going forward.
