That’s spot on, it requires the management to self regulate, and report and the public to show the economic loss.
With regard to my letter. I am suggesting people place the letter to the Commonwealth Ombudsman. As you noted, ASIC will not respond to consumer complaints. But the Commonwealth has the power to make ASIC act. So, in some respects, we are going to their boss.
Use my reference number from ASIC, shown on that link to the thread above (a couple posts down), to save you time. But it would be good to save us retail hundreds of millions each year.
Such a scam it is, and very obvious when you see all those companies on the shortman website being feed the shares from the index rebalance.
