BYD EV's in China are starting as low as 69,800 yuan (around $9,555 USD) for the Seagull model and extending up to 240,000 yuan (around $34,000 USD) for the all-wheel drive performance version of the Seal.
BYD is achieving an explosive growth and ICE manufacturers will be bricking it, hence industry and government posturing from all angles, including the new 25% tariffs.
I can't see the Chinese relinquishing their strength by relocating manufacturing to the US, although anything is possible. Europe/Canada closer ties and a Chinese trade partnership may spook the US enough to see them change strategy...we're living in mad times.
