Exactly Yowie. Thats why a merger update needs to be provided. If this is going to get done by mid year then a definitive timeline should be announced on the asx by now.
I am not sure how long the strategic investor would have as their sunset date. Typically it would be 12 months so that would give board and management until November to complete.
