Sayona was working on acquiring the North American Lithium (NAL) operation in Québec, which had been shut down since 2019 and was under creditor protection. By December 2020, Sayona had taken the lead in the acquisition race, teaming up with Piedmont Lithium (at the time listed on ASX as PLL, now on NASDAQ) to create a joint venture. On December 22, 2020, Sayona submitted an official bid to Québec’s Superior Court, with plans to combine NAL with its Authier Lithium Project. This marked a key milestone, although the acquisition wasn’t finalized until August 30, 2021.
There was no production at the time, risk were high, it was a gamble ! Cray cray !!
Yet here we are, running a mine, producing and delivering a key component to a booming industry.
If you believe that Li prices are going up like projected, and believe we are able to deliver our first Break even or maybe even positive numbers within the next few quarters, and i do believe this is possible, then this is beyond silly, and an opportunity.
If you don't - well then you don't.
