Management runs the company. The board provides oversight, guidance and upholds governance (normally).
In my 25 years experience dealing with listed boards it is rare to see the board go against management’s recommendation. LD will be leading this merged company going forward and will no doubt form strong alliances with the PLL representatives on the board including the Chair.
