I am assuming that PLL’s agreement was to deliver the spod to Texas where Tesla has a refinery.
Given that the refinery has not yet been commissioned (and probably won’t be until the OTA expires), contingency plans would need to have been made.
That probably means the spod has been going to China.
That then raises the question of who pays for the 46 day trip to China when it takes only about one week to get to the Port of Corpus Christi from the Port of Quebec.
I am thinking Tesla would have to compensate PLL for this imposition?
The other possibility could be that the Tesla allocation be paid for and stockpiled until the refinery is ready to produce.
