And importantly as well is the fact that the Bloc Quebecois Party who holds Federal Parlimentary seats ONLY in Quebec has ousted the NDP as the THIRD party holding the balance of power if a Minority Government is formed with a convincing 22 seats to 7 over the NDP.
NDP could still sway the deficit of seats currently held short by the Liberals , however as it stands currently , the NDP may lose ' Party Status ' after their 11.5% smashing and reduction at the polls and securing only 7 seats. And it wouldn't be a good look for the Liberals to endorse this weakness in Parliment by forming a government with the support of them verses the potential additional Unity potentially offered by aligning with the BLOC.
So if the BLOC does end up with the balance of power , we should watch for the policies which may have crossover effects for the beneficial interests of Quebec. Particularly so given the massive support for mining and critical minerals being thrown in the Ontario direction at the present moment by the sitting Conservative Party in that Province.
