Now that I am fairly certain that there is a ship carrying NAL spod to China, I can make an assumption of what will probably happen next.
Going by the carrying capacity of the ship in transit, I am thinking it would be carrying half of the committed amount SYAQ has committed to this quarter.
By my calculation, that should be 63,000 tonnes all up.
NAL will have almost certainly produced more than this amount, going by the improved output alluded to in the last quarterly.
I am thinking SYAQ will stockpile any extra until after the merger.
We don’t know exactly what plans have been hatched up for when Elevra takes over.
A largish quantity of uncommitted spodumene concentrate will not go astray for the new company when it goes live.
