Sayona Quebec is thinking big to respect the Government of Quebec's 2030 Green Economy Plan.

In collaboration with the Australian supplier Integrated Carbon Squestration (ICS), the mine intends to move forward with a lithium transformation project, a more ecological process that would respect the environmental aspect.

The process developed by ICS, which provides for the use of nitric acid rather than sulfuric acid, would recycle 90% of production residues.

The spodumene concentrate from the Authier project in La Motte, Sayona's flagship project, would be used in the facilities of the Center of expertise and innovation in the field of mineral processing (COREM).

Three phases are planned over a two-year horizon. Two mini pilot plants may have to be built and then operated in the second and third phase, if the first is successful. This project is conditional on government monetary assistance.
