I'm sure that directors are aware of shorters, bots, or any possible manipulative measures that may be in play. However, their function is to run the company and not to worry about day to day SP movements be it up or down. The cannot speed up processes which are outside of their control.
Price sensitive announcements will be announced under company disclosure obligations - currently awaiting for such as event. In the meantime SP movements are at the mercy of market forces - however derived.
Should get some definitive news next month and let's see how the market reacts upon the release of such.
