I will assume you don't know and start from scratch.

Bollinger has upper, middle and lower bands.

MOST TIMES
The stock tends to run up the upper or down the lower band.
After a run it will move to the middle line.
At the middle line it will either bounce back to the outer line or go through.
If it goes through the middle line it tends to go to the other outer line and start following it.
If a stock has big movement outside the upper or lower band it will always returns to the band and usually quickly.

SOMETIMES all this does not work (else I would not be here typing this but on my yacht).

For instance sometimes it bounces off the middle but quickly retracts and goes through.

For instance sometimes it does not reach the outer band before it changes direction.

SO you need to use fundamental analysis and other indicators (MACD) to make a judgement.

WITH SYA just buy as much as you can and keep it for 3 years and you will make a motsa!


THIS is SYA over last year.

Jan ran up band.
Feb went through middle to bottom band and ran down.
Mar came off bottom to middle and went to top band.
Apr ran up top band, came off and through middle to bottom band.
May ran down bottom, came off and went through middle to top band and ran up.
June came off top went to middle and this time bounced back to top.
Jul ran up top, back to middle and BOUNCED back to top.
Aug repeat ran up top, back to middle and bounced back to top.

Current in between bands could go back to top or to the middle. Need a few more days. Now I consider the fundamentals. DOW up over weekend, SPP refund money coming back and some buying going to happen. I think 15c

My take, do some research but I think this proves the value of charts as one of your tools.
