Nobody really knows but my belief is this;-
- SYA submitted an unsolicited revised bid with the backing of PLL and Tesla 23rd Sep.
- SYA will include the Green Lithium technology developed with Integrated Carbon Sequestration (ICS) as they made a point in their announcement that existing plant can be refurbished to include the closed loop at low cost. (They don't currently have a plant to refurb so why make a point of it!)
- Monitor had to go through the process of given all bidders a last crack at best and final offer. Note they only went back to those that had executed NDA's and submitted previous bids. Feels like a due process thing to me.
I agree SRG seem our greatest competition yet don't have any mining footprint in North America. I don't believe a JV with an existing bidder will be required.
All just assumptions made in my opinion
