With all the enhancements and updates (just look at computers) just because the vehicle may become all electric doesn't mean it will keep it's value either. There are always retail markups, middle men, depreciation etc.
Lots of ICE vehicles became antique and collectable - some are asking well over $100k - go look for a '69 2 door HK monaro coupe. Not many computers are yet in the same league. (how many computers are there in a Tesla).
Regards electronics - have a look at what an old analogue moog synthesizer is worth compared to the most modern up to date keyboard - make sure you sit while doing so (or even an old valve power amplifier compared to the solid state modern stuff).
Technology has it's pitfalls.
