I'm not so sure about that, in the sense that everything around the battery and motors, well, quality is more likely better with a long term car maker.
Having seen and sat in a Tesla, I think they're overrated in manufacturing quality. Someone I know at work had to take hers back to the dealer over loose fittings. Several other stories, but they admittedly are anecdotal. I am keen to see the new line up by others, especially Hyundai. If the build quality of the Kona is anything like the ICE Tuscon etc that I have seen lately...oh boy there is going to be some stiff competition.
