So I found an introduction to dark pools which gives a little insight.

What concerns me, as what's happening with SYA, it isn't so much the selling/buying on the dark pool, but it is the frequency, which now typing this I remember that is what you said. Scotch kicking in.
So ASIC does not like the fact that this centrepoint/midpoint is being used to buy and sell 'frequently'. But that is exactly whats happening here.
