When you look at what Tesla is doing, you get the magnitude of what is needed.

Here is there most recent quarter

In 2020 the produced just a tad less than 500k cars, in just this last quarter they produced 241k cars and are on pace to double the 2020 output.

In 2022 they will open 2 new giga-factories, 1 in Berlin and 1 in Texas. These factories will be more automated and more cost efficient than what they currently have and they are predicting 50% YOY growth for the next 10 years.

If all of the know reserves in Canada were able to come on line, I don't think it would satisfy even 1/2 of Tesla's needs. Let alone GM, Ford and VW.

One more note that I noticed in todays meeting was that Tesla will adopt LFP in all of its standard range cars globally I think this is important because LFP utilizes carbonate instead of hydroxide .
