Totally agree, why sell out now when we have such a bright future?? My point wasn't for sya to sell out, more that a manufacturer will have to consider owning the supply chain, from the resource to the final product, to get ahead.

We, as shareholders have the final say here.

So as you said, a total takeover would probably not be possible, but a a jv, percentage stake, or some sort of caoital/equity/favourable term contract could be on the cards... and possibly the only way a manufacturer
could gain a competitive advantage, as opposed to buying lithium on market.
Elon has already bought lithium rich clay land in Nevada.
Who knows what the future will hold.
