I've thought for some time now, that in around August 2019, Sayona
started playing a small game of chess against IQ for NAL.
As the many months of negotiations rolled on, with little or no other
bidders, and lithium prices continuing to fall (up until Dec 2020), I believe
IQ came around to Sayona's side of the table to form the Quebec team
now playing against the North American lithium team. I think it's possible
that the negotiators at IQ developed a good level of trust in dealing with
geology engineer, Brett Lynch (not some banker/lawyer) a trust which
may have become even stronger after IQ commenced negotiations
with newly arrived bidders in the second half of 2020. And as the final
negotiations and capital raising was nearing an end (Mar 2021), Sayona
was offered ownership of NAL with the Moblan deal to seal the IQ planned
Northern Quebec strategy.
Wouldn't now be a good time for Sayona BOD to deliver more information
to the market, or is it the case, due to various negotiations, that they just
cannot do this right now?
