In my recent dream Tesla buys Sayona:
major operational battery plants in north america 2021
SAFT 1GW
LG Chem 5GW
Tesla 100GW
Everyone else har projects in progress but no current production.
Ford uses SK from Korea
GM Uses LG from Korea
Tesla uses EVERYONE and produce themselves also + Giga Texas opens production too.
If I was Elon with a current 20x lithium need compared to LG and a preference of vertical integration and historic preference for securing supplychains in time. I would be talking to whom ever has the largest future supply potential, starting with the one who sits on 25% of it. and then all the way down the list. And I would secure Graphite from NVX too.
But what do i know..
