i don't usually comment to your posts.
but will give you an unsolicited advise..take it or leave it.
These are very dangerous times, now and ahead for next 12 to 16 months in any stock market.
if you are only going to rely on VIX, possibly pull all your money out of the market and buy bonds.
Also, I am aware you have more experience than me in stock market and I respect that.
you mentioned you invested $120,000 in SYA. Maybe put in a wallet, drawer, closet or anywhere you prefer and leave that package alone till it reaches$1.00 as that what you want and will happen by next year.
And also if you can explain the forum members how VIX works, parameters and indicators it uses anf/or algorithms it uses, it will help us believe that you have a complete understanding of what you are saying.
As I said these are dangerous times to gamble.
since you were from NZ so thought will give you a friendly advise.
