comparing to spot price is not the correct approach, most companies have a blend of multi-year contracts (low), 6-month contracts (medium), and whats left is available for spot (High, this is actually a very small portion of the total). Both Alkem and PLS mention an average of $3200 (from memory) which is still a huge amount in comparison to 1250.
The big problem that anyone putting together a DFS will have is predicting a price way out in the future which is why most chose a very conservative number that does not require them to defend how they arrived at it while sitting in front of investors.
