Australia had a much bigger amount of rainforests and hardwoods in many now paddocked areas prior to being colonised. Plus the losses due to fires caused by various issues - much of it instigated by man. Now huge areas of land is cleared for solar farms. Smart money perhaps but not very 'lung' smart. Of course trees would be in the way to accessing solar rays - so chop chop.
