I reckon I did.And it brings me back to a time when I was 6 or 7 years old and sitting on the Dunney at my Grandparents log cabin cottage on one of Ontario's many freshwater lakes in the far North and reading my Grandads stack of subscription Popular Mechanics and Popular Science. So whether it was fishing for trout or bass , water skiing on the lake , picking blueberry's and having bonfires and outdoor corn roasts in the summer , or collecting beautiful changing coloured maples leaves and eating pumpkin pie in the autumn...... to skidooing , skiing , ice fishing playing hockey on the frozen lake , or just putting on your Muckluk's and strapping into your snowshoes and going out through the bush in the wintertime ..... having a good ole read of the popular science and mechanics mags as well as your collection of comics purchased down at the general store at the Marina was all part of the experience of growing up as a Canadian child and one who would holiday every season in a district not all that far from where Sayona operates in Quebec today. And I'm sure there are many of my Amis living in and around the Authier project in Quebec who could totally relate to my experiences. So I reckon as a Canadian Child , I learned more about the future sitting on the septic system crapper than I ever did in junior school. No wonder they call it the ' Office ' right.....Ahhh , such fond memories of the good old days where you could learn a lot about innovative ideas from just a magazine and even more about politics from your collection of equally valuable MAD magazines. And so now it seems we learn from the rapid and ever increasing developments of the here and now , and from the next generation of Engineers and Scientists who care to dream as we did in our own ways not that long ago.
