The 'Big Boys' have always done this!....& always will IMO.... my cousin was a Broker .I worked for him in 1990's .it's all their game to move the S/P ....both up & DOWN....
Coz us retailers don't do it ! knowing when to short is very risky... especially if a trading halt happents & announcement could jump S/P up 10-15 %.... with big losses to close the position ...
Anyway today .....should have an up day ....
