Haha yes he's no friend of the right these days, which i can understand. But I admire his contribution to the advancement of technology through Microsoft. Society would be very different now without his work.

My grievance is generally with the way people and media tend to gravitate towards these 'elite' for their remonstrations on morality, social governance and energy/climate policy as though they have any degree of education or credibility in these fields.
Similarly with the way many look to movie stars/musicians who opine on political issues as though they are the supreme 'thought leaders' of our communities, where in the main their job is to look pretty and remember lines.

What exactly are Greta Thunberg credentials again? That's right, highschool dropout. Meanwhile Dr Bjorn Lomberg is pilloried by the media...
