For those charging at home is it really necessary to upgrade anything. I believe it is slow but trickle fed out of standard plug would do most of the time?
I have a 5kw solar system in QLD and I am on the old 55cent solar feed in tariff until 2026 sometime. At that point I will be looking at installing more panels and installing medium size battery system. At that point I will do the necessary upgrades to have my EV as additional storage for my house during power outages. I will consider going off grid at the time if the solar/battery/EV storage is sufficient to supply enough power all year round.
