To increase demand attracted by funds and by institions which either can only, or can gain greater exposure to a company if it moves into the ASX 200, the demand generated increases the share price - this would only be beneficial if a capital raise was to take place.
One would need to be on top of the Sayona financials to know that and even then something left field such as a material acquisition coukd be cause for a cap raise.
High share price on a cap raise reduces dilution for current holders. I have seen the effects either way before (PLS and 1MC).
