Piedmont's biggest hurdle will be gaining approvals at North Carolina (No one doubts it), the stand alone chemical conversion plant known as Tennessee Lithium which is located in an existing zoned industrial park with existing infrastructure will only require an air permit which in comparison with North Carolina is straight forward.

As for your waffle regarding finance, President Biden has opened up the cheque book and any US based Lithium-Ion Supply Chain Projects will get strong financial backing from Uncle Sam, finance is almost a non-issue

If you had bothered to read Piedmonts last quarterly update you would already be aware that Carolina Lithium has advanced to Stage 3 of the Department of Energy Loan Process i.e. Due Diligence & Term Sheet Negotiation

Tennessee Lithium submitted their application in June and it should be in Stage 3 by Q1 next year, but hey don't let facts get in the way of a good old fashion beat down

The reality is that finance (from Uncle Sam) will be signed, sealed and delivered from the Loans Program Office on the condition that the Department of Environment gives each project the final green tick........ Finance is not a problem at all, it is all contingent on environmental approvals.
