Just got some perspective, as of 4th of October SYA has some 465m open short positions or 5.6% of total SOI. This places them as the 29th most shorted stock on the whole ASX.
Compare this to their market cap ranking (asx ranking) of 178th this gives some indication of the consensus at the moment, bears playing on short term expectation by impatient investors. Whilst we've climbed the ASX rankings significantly, it's nothing relative to how fast we climbed to top 30 shorted stocks on ASX in a much shorter time frame.
