I think you'll find the simple solution is that the first tranche was acquired whilst PLL was still Oz domiciled, hence Piedmont Li Ltd... the next tranches were bought under the US domiciled entity PLInc. So, no conspiracy, no underhanded evil intention, just simple timeline equation. So no need for tin hats...
