And while were on the subject of Cleveland Ohio , doesn't anyone think it just a teeny weeny bit strange and connected that our recently appointed Vice President of Mines ( note :- Plural ) ....Mr Philippe Chabot who just almost out of the blue leaves one of the Worlds largest fine Iron Ore miners in the entire World being ' ArcelorMittal .....with their massive Fire Lake Iron Ore project up near Champion Iron's and its Quebec Iron Ore subsidiary's bloom lake project located in North Eastern Quebec. .

Because if you don't think it is just a bit ' convenient ' timing of an appointment , perhaps these connections might begin to start your mind wondering just a little bit more ....

Like the fact that apart from our own RIO Quebec getting in on the Act down at their Sorel-Tracy critical minerals technology labs 80 odd klm's from Becancour where Nouveau Monde Graphite has been establishing itself for some time now including its recent funding round obtained from Quebec Govt.......

Clealand is also home to GrafTech International Ltd ( valued at around US$1.11 billion ) and who specialises in Graphite electrodes and other specialized metal products for the steelmaking industry .......AND wait for it .....GrafTech's largest Customer is ArcelorMittal.......

GrafTech's other largest Customer is none other than the South Korean connections of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

But sticking with the ArcelorMittal connections for a moment longer and just by the by , they ( ArcelorMittal ) is 38% owned by Indian Billionaire Lakshmi Mittal who's net worth has been estimated in 2022 at around US$25 Billion , and who also just so happens to be a board member of Goldman Sachs.......

So you can't tell me that given the connectivity through the next generations of Lithium batteries and the chemistry associations and similarities to the solid state varieties to the likes of RIO , ArcelorMittal.....and even Goldman's ....that they are NOT positioning themselves to pounce , align , or venture into this space.

And what better way of ALWAYS doing it than to appoint an INSIDER from the potential PARTNERING Industries. ie ....and in this case being Philippe Chabot from Arcelor and perhaps RIO coming into play as well.

Of course this line of thinking is not NEW to the discussions , but certainly the timing of the VP of mines as well as the reference to Cleveland on top of what we already know about RIO . The connections are certainly interesting.

There was also that Pic at the Bell Centre last year at a Montreal Canadiens match with Lynch and the former CEO of Champion Iron whoc was also sharing the Corporate Box......

Interesting times. Reminds me of some of the key mining appointments and career path that Pallinghurst Group's Head of Corporate Finance Sean Thijisse has had with several of their ( Pallinghursts ) mining exploits including Nemaska , Nouveau Monde and .....others he was involved in before he came on board with Pallinghurs. Some people just seem to have M&A type deals attached or which come with or follow them around in this Industry. Wonder if Philippe Chabot is one of these Type......a placement type Individual ( head ) ahead of something down the track if you like.......
